asfatm - AfterStep Fan and Temperature Monitor
---------------------

-----------------
What it is:
-----------------

asfatm is an AfterStep dock/wharf app which is capable of displaying system temp
and/or cpu temp(s) and up to three fan speeds depending on what type of chips
and hardware you have installed in your box.

asfatm is released under the GNU General Public License. See file COPYING for
more info.

-----------------
What you need
-----------------

-> lm_sensors 2.3.X installed and working.. (http://www.netroedge.com/~lm78)
-> one of the following hardware monitoring chips:
		1. lm78
		2. lm78-j
		3. lm79
		4. lm80

and an lm75 to compliment the above chips if you have one.

	   these chipsets should also work
		5. w83781d
		6. w83782d
		7. w83783s

-> a window manager like AfterStep or WindowMaker

-----------------
bugs:
-----------------

Probably, the only system I test asfatm on is my own which only has an lm79 and
no lm75. You can report bugs to the email address below if you want.

----------------------
some notes on features
----------------------

running asfatm w/o any switches will display by default:

System Temperature
Fan 1 RPM
Fan 2 RPM
Fan 3 RPM

if you want to display cpu temps asfatm will by default show:

CPU Temp(s)
Fan 1 RPM
Fan 2 RPM

Say you want to show CPU temp with Fan2 RPM and Fan3 RPM instead:

asfatm -cpu -fan2 -fan3

or for Fan1 and Fan3 instead:

asfatm -cpu -fan1 -fan3

get it?
